Reports directly to the EHS Manager. Responsible for day-to-day safety, industrial hygiene and environmental management control programs and evaluations.

Assures site compliance with all federal state, local, and company policies. Coordinates, develops, evaluates, and conducts periodic audits and assessments to evaluate compliance to regulations.

Develops and facilitates EHS related training.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Coordinates the day-to-day implementation of the site safety and industrial hygiene policies and procedures.

Document assessment findings, safety observations and engagement programs. Assists management in resolving discrepancies.

Assure compliance with applicable DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.

Conducts periodic safety audits / assessments to evaluate compliance to regulations and facility safety policies & procedures.

Performs evaluations and assists in implementation of process improvements related to ergonomics, machine guarding, and others as needed.

Assures contractor compliance with applicable safety and environmental policies.

Prepare plant communications including weekly safety topics.

Updates and maintains action items within EHS databases. Track metrics, prepare and submit monthly reports.

Responsible for development of safety training materials. Delivers training content as necessary.

Assist in the process of risk assessments and process evaluations to determine the need for engineering controls and / or administrative controls.

Coordinates implementation of process controls as related to safety / environmental issues.

Maintains plant safety committees and safety teams.

Participate in incident investigation team, evaluate risks and incidents, and identify areas where costs and loss experience can be improved.

Plan and coordinate the Respiratory Fit Testing and EO Physicals for associates who participate in the programs.

Responsible to perform monthly associate monitoring and weekly bag sampling test for Madison and Covington Location.

Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree preferred

Ideally 2 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing plant.

Must be familiar with basic MS Office : Excel, Word, Outlook
